light rain

a drizzle; of fine threads

cut into half; light bodies

falling; almost weightless

through the air – the form

of leaves; their undersides

peeking into shiny light; as

they jolt their droopy heads

into hanging hats; latching

unto the soft bounce of the

morning’s gentle downpour.
