frail grace

the face of

my palm; resting

on the delicate

surface of your belly-

now sunken; a concave

curve, tilting inward

towards your frame; so

frail and worn; an

alibi of the grace

you dawn; a daily tale

of your dignity, upheld

despite the garish stare

of preceding doom.
